The main objective of this project is to improve the efficiency and quality of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) review by assisting with holding the EIA meetings, collecting and organizing the comments of each meeting. During the operation period, this project assisted with holding 48 meetings and the tasks completed as follows: (1) collecting and organizing the comments of 100 document reviews, (2) drafting the conclusions of 81 meetings, (3) collecting and analyzing the comments of the EIA meetings held in 2016, (4) recording and tracking the progress of 7 scoping meetings, (5) writing off receipts of 108 meetings and 78 document reviews, and (6) taking the minutes of 101 meetings. By holding the evaluation committee meeting, the evaluation result of 2015 was decided and announced. Of the 92 assessed firms, 11 were graded A, 16 were graded pre-A, 13 were graded B, 8 were graded C and 44 were graded N. Through this project, the evaluation procedure is conducted in accordance with the measure of the year of 2016 to 2017 since Jan 1, 2016. To improve the performance on EIA affairs, the performance appraisal of local environmental protection agencies is conducted in this project and the appraisal results are collected and calculated. In addition, by holding one review conference, the local environmental protection agencies and relevant authorities were gathered to review the achievements of EIA affairs, to improve the ability of the authorities to conduct EIA affairs and to make the EIA system more mature.
